Barak is a Partner in the Real Estate Department.
He has extensive experience advising companies, entrepreneurs, and property owners on complex real estate transactions, with a particular specialization in urban renewal projects (“TAMA 38” / “Alternative Shaked” and “Evacuation and Reconstruction”) and real estate financing.
In his work with property owners, Barak provides comprehensive legal support throughout all transaction stages. This includes initial rights assessment, preparing tender documents to identify suitable entrepreneurs, assembling a team of professionals to support the property owners, negotiating the contract with the selected entrepreneur, and ongoing legal guidance until the project is completed and the new apartment is delivered.
Barak also has significant experience advising entrepreneurs and companies on urban renewal projects. He provides comprehensive legal advisory guidance that reflects a deep commercial understanding gained from years of involvement in numerous transactions. This includes assistance in preparing commercial proposals for project execution, conducting preliminary assessments with planning authorities, performing due diligence on property rights, negotiating legal terms with the property owners’ representatives, advising on planning procedures with various planning bodies, structuring financial agreements with lenders, drafting consultant agreements including the “executing contractor” agreement, and managing sales contracts with apartment buyers, up to the registration of the condominium and the owners’ and buyers’ rights.
Barak has particular expertise in real estate financing, providing legal counsel to companies and entrepreneurs in their engagements with financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, and funds, to secure financing for various real estate projects.
