Lior heads the data protection, cyber, and IT practices at EBN, providing expert guidance to a diverse clientele, including global companies, tech, financial institutions, cybersecurity, consumer, healthcare and life science on strategy and governance in data and technology, focusing on privacy laws, cybersecurity, IP, and monetization of data. He plays a pivotal role in assisting organizations in developing comprehensive privacy compliance programs, mapping data processing activities, and conducting data protection impact assessments. This includes implementing and commercializing AI tools with organizations.
His extensive experience also encompasses managing data breaches and other cybersecurity challenges, as well as conducting due diligence and advising on data protection matters in connection with M&A transactions, and offers interdisciplinary advice with other firm departments, such as conflict resolution, IPOs, labor issues, and consumer programs. Lior has significant experience with GDPR, U.S. privacy laws, and other regulations, developing “generally acceptable privacy principles.”
Lior serves as a trusted advisor to a diverse array of clients, ranging from innovative startups to multinational corporations. His practice encompasses guiding publicly traded entities, private equity, entrepreneurs, and strategic investors through the intricacies of cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Lior’s skillset shines in the art of deal-making, where he excels in structuring and negotiating a wide spectrum of commercial agreements. His proficiency covers everything from negotiate data protection agreements (DPAs), license agreements, forging strategic ventures to navigating complex IT contracts and devising agreements that safeguard and commercialize data and tech assets.
Lior also speaks at conferences, educates directors and officers, trains corporate teams, and is providing ongoing public positions with respect to legislation initiatives, and was actively involved in the hearings of the most significant reform of the Israeli privacy law (Amendment 13) with the Knesset’s Constitution Committee.
