CrowdStrike announced its strategic acquisition of Flow Security, a cloud data runtime security pioneer. This move is a significant step towards enhancing CrowdStrike’s cloud security by integrating Flow Security’s data security posture management (DSPM) into the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, ensuring comprehensive protection for data at rest and in motion across cloud and on-premise environments. The acquisition directly addresses the growing need for robust data security amid increasing cloud usage and the sophistication of cyber threats. CrowdStrike’s CEO, George Kurtz, emphasized the strategic expansion in cloud data protection, while Flow Security’s CEO, Jonathan Roizin, highlighted the collaboration to offer extensive cloud data protection solutions. The deal, set to close in CrowdStrike’s fiscal first quarter, involves a mix of cash and equity.
