associates Dar Raguan and Yoni Galili of our firm’s litigation department, successfully represented, pro bono, an elderly woman who was the victim of extortion by two companies that provide “electrical product insurance” for tens of thousands of NIS, without ever providing the service they undertook.
After arguing that there had been a substantial breach of consumer protection and contract laws and that the companies had taken advantage of the individuals’ health and mental condition, as well as their limited knowledge of Hebrew, we reached a settlement agreement between the parties.
