Privacy Update: The Israeli Privacy Authority Clarifies the Required Disclosure for Data Subjects.
The Israeli Privacy Protection Authority issued a new position on the disclosure requirements for data subjects upon the collection of their personal data and when obtaining from them an informed consent.
The position provides that lack of transparency towards the data subject may undermine the lawful basis of the controller and even to expire the validity of the obtained consent. There are also guidelines with respect to required matters to include in a privacy notice/policy from Israeli law perspective and interesting notes on the limitations of the disclosure and an obiter view on scraping.
