Litigation Client Update– EBN Represents Media Personality Ilana Dayan in Precedential Ruling

On 18 September 2014, the Supreme Court gave its ruling after an additional appeal in regards to “Captain R” against the journalist Ilana Dayan and against Telad Jerusalem Studios Ltd. for libel.
This is an important and precedent judgment, since it redefines the role of a journalist in a democratic society.
Our firm represented Ilana Dayan on a procedure to the Supreme Court (both the appeal and the additional hearing), in which the Supreme Court overturned the lower court ruling acquitting Ilana Dayan.
