Crowdfunding is an increasingly popular business model through which Israeli companies can raise funds from the general public via an Internet platform.
The reasoning behind this method is that raising small amounts from a large number of people may be a significant financing tool for start-ups and small businesses.
The legal provisions regulating the terms of crowdfunding are anchored in the Securities Regulations, which were published on June 26, 2017 and will take effect six months after their publication in the “Reshumot.”
